That's one of the weird things I don't quite get is why the Amiga is referred to in terms such as retro or nostalgia on the forums...
Until June of this year I'd never owned any other type of computer other than my Amigas and use them every day, so to me I can hardly call it retro or using it for nostalgia as it always has been my main computer...
If my 3.x Amiga(s) were up and running, no doubt I would using them for most every day use, still. So, I tend to agree with you. My 1.3 OSed A1000 is a different story however.
Today, I still use the A1000 for more than just games, and when it can't handle the task at hand I'll switch to AmiKit.
I am some what of an odd ball in that I don't mind mixing Amiga and Windows programs to get the results I want/need.
I can't say I have never felt like blowing up an Amiga system or two - but I always gave it a day to cool down (me, not the machine).
Have to admit that my old house had a disk drive or two growing out of the walls though....
