I have good luck with a product called Goo Gone. It isn't as strong (solvent wise) as some others, but makes short work of various glues, paint, AND melted rubber. It will NOT hurt the PC boards at all. - all around good stuff.
I get mine at the local Office Depot. Hope this helps...
