Looking for some help in selecting a card for my 4000, Picasso being to old and expensive for my tastes.
You may want to consider buying the upcoming open source
ZZ9000 multi purpose graphics card, supporting development of brand new Amiga hardware in the process. Not only should the ZZ9000 run in wide circles around just about any other Zorro-based graphics card out there, but it comes loaded with a few extra tricks up its sleeve - including an onboard Ethernet network controller, 1 GB DDR3 RAM (yes - that's one gig of RAM), a SD Card interface and an ARM-based coprocessor. The developer - MNT Media and Technology - previous merits include the appraised (and now out of stock)
VA2000 graphics card, which bodes well for this project.
For anyone interested, here's a YouTube-presentation
showing and introducing the VA2000. Fingers crossed for an awesome product!
