A1 Computers of Bodmin
« on: May 18, 2004, 08:57:31 PM »
(as in Bodmin, Cornwall, UK)

Anyone remember this store? Used to be a couple of hardenned Amiga guys that ran it, but it went under in about '97.  Would be kinda neat to find out what they're up to now ;-)

Ummm, don't remember seeing any Macs in there ... and just the occational chip - accompanied by fish, lol.

I spoke to a guy who swore blind he'd seen the 'Beast' in the fields behind the comprehensive school, but I always reconned it was a load of cobblers.

Sorry, didn't mean that 48k's were unreliable, rather that I only ever got to play with one properly ;-)

Yes, that was it! Darn my fuzzy memory! ... Adrian's A3000 is probably the biggest influence on me getting mine ;-) He always put up with me even though I never had any money, too.  Nick used to lend me CDs, though that was near the shop's closing, well after he'd painted his tower granite - last I remember he was working on some interesting photo editing of that Jennifer Aneston underwear special .

I also remember seeing an early A1200 when they put a display on in the school, but at that time it was way out of my budget (I had a ropey old A2000 at the time).
