Don't try to use Genesis/Miami/AmiTCP on UAE !!!
Unless you're using a phoneline modem, in which case they work ok now :-)

Using the BSD socket emulation is a passthrough internet connection that goes via windows, using any currently open connection.  AWeb should just work using this, is it only on downloading stuff you have a problem?  (should come up with a save/open box similar to Windows).

As for manuals, does the 3.9 install include the helpfiles?  On an original 3.9 CD you get the lot in webpage format :-) If not, I'm sure someone has a spare set (I have 3.0 manuals, but they need to stay with my A1200 as I may sell it in the future!).

ok, glad you're not disappearing Trinity, as it sounded like you were just getting somewhere with the whole thing!

ps. does getting the Peg2 mean you're dumping the AMD box, or just relegating it to secondary status? (I'm planning on getting one myself when finances allow)

MOS 1.5 has been rumoured for some time in the next year, so don't get your hopes up!  1.4.2 is good, but you'll need to find our own TCP/IP stanck from somewhere (the one that comes with OS3.9, Genesis, will work with it apparently - though it doesn't do DHCP so broadband has to be run through a router set to static IP addresses).

As for downloading with AWeb, have you got the Public License 3.5 Beta version?  Works a treat here!

I had problems with Reaction errors on and dialogue boxes under 3.4 Lite (ie. setting options or saving), like I said 3.5 Beta works nice.  Every once in a while you might need to hit refresh though ;-)
