I've seen some questions about vesalia in this thread I beleive I should answer.

I do hope I will not be banned for not being positive about a company.

About a month and a half ago I ordered an new US keyboard 1200 and a DCE flicker fixer from them.

It arrived yesterday. You can read another thread I started why.

Anyway they send me this;

An A1200 which had its warranty seal broken.
It was missin a screw and a rubber leg.
Two of the plastic hooks holding the case together at the back where broken. The A1200 had a UK keyboard while I ordered a US keyboard. The books are missing from the shipment.

The flicker fixer was added inside the A1200 magic box.
It was contained by a regular plastic bag (these guys should be tought a lesson about electrostatic sensative devices).

So thats what you can expect when you order over 200 euro's of material from them (including vat and shipping costs).

I have not a a reaction on the complained I emailed them yesterday so I have not formed a final opinion.
But you can quess my current opinion.

Enough said.

No, you misunderstood.

I ordered a new A1200 with a US keyboard layout.

Got a damaged A1200 with a UK keyboard layout (very genrous) and they dont seem to care less since they still have not replied my mail.

They ship sensitive equipement in normal plastic bags aswell which is a sin.

My opinion about them is not very good at the moment. I hope they'll reply my mail and set things straight  but I don't think I'll ever order from them again. I would certainly not recommend it to anybody.

Hi all,

@Lemmink
The delay in shipping has not really been a problem. That was sorted out. It started by them not having a DCE Flicker/Fixer on stock. The only thing they told me that they hoped it would get produced. This story is however already discussed in another thread.

The problem was sorted out and I was glad they found me a DCE FF in the end.

Since the FF has not been broken due to their shipping I can only suggest them to improve their shipping.

THe only problem remains is the keyboard problem and the fact the A1200 was a little damaged. (rubber leg, screw inside, two plastic clips on the back all missing)

But we'll see how this unfolds.

@TjLaZer

They could very well been sold out. But they should have told me.
If sombody want new equipment now is the time to 'harvest'. Items (US A1200's, Flicker Fixers) get out of stock very rapidly.

@magnetic

You are right. To speak in style;
Commodore A1200 are higher quality. Amiga Inc are poor quality. (not military  :lol: )
I whish I ran into such a deal earlier. Now I think I'll pass.

And to get back on topic....Amiga's are where they should be. They are being used (or collected) by the people who like to do so. Ofcourse not all amiga's ever produced but hey.....
That would be the same like me asking; where did all those 26 million volkswagen beetles go?

True.Perhaps there people who have an amiga somwhere, but just keep it. Too much trouble getting it of the attic.

Ofcourse all amiga's work like a charm if nothing really idiotic is done to it. Tinware has a tendancy to get rusy. I've got an A600 that is/was quite rusty. But some chrome polish I use for my beetle mainly takes care of that :crazy: .

Anyway, alot of miggy's are used by enthousiast nowadays.
