@maw2k

Keep up the good work and don't stress too much about the detractors.

Your efforts are appreciated.

I own an A500, A600, A1200 but haven't updated them simply because they are not used any more.  Once I get a permanent home I hope that will change and I will add them then.

By then I also hope to be adding an OS4 netbook and X1000.

Why do you think it's inaccurate?

I don't know why I am bothering, but given that there are 100 X1000s in circulation and each is running OS4.1, then to have only 100 OS4.1 users is clearly inaccurate (given that only 6 X1000 owners have registered on maw2k's map).

If you are a fan of extrapolation, and given that 6% of X1000 users have registered, we assume 6% of all OS4.1 users have registered, then that would put the OS4.1 users around the 1700 mark.

Either way 100 OS4.1 users clearly underestimates OS4.1 usage I am sure you can only agree.

@ajlwalker

but someone running similar project already would probably see him as 'detractor'.
they can't expect us to register at each and every one.

Yes, that's not an unreasonable point.  But maw2k's project seems to be evolving and there's nothing like a bit of friendly competition.

He may just hit on something really cool which will make everyone want to register.

It should also be noted it wasn't him that started this thread.
