Well, after looking at the diagrams for the C64 power supply connector. It seems to me that there is just no way this Suntron power supply could have possibly allowed the seller to power up this C64. The diagrams clearly show that 9VAC is present on two of the pins.
Looks like I'll be searching for a power supply now and having a nice chat with the seller!

Hi, take a look at
Web Shop (look at the Suntron products) this took me 30 secs to find on google, I'm sure there is more.
It would appear Suntron produced a range of Commodore compatible power supplies. 3rd party cheaper parts is hardly surprising.
Somebody call me an idiot but surely it's the 5vDC input that's the important one?? I mean all computers use DC right? I'm probably totally wrong!
Anyways, just thought you should look into it a little further before you embarass yourself with the seller.
