Protext
« on: May 22, 2011, 09:06:24 PM »
Evening all :-)

I have a lot of documents that were written using Protext - which I don't have.

Some other programs have been able to open the files, but always have strange characters in them. Is there another Amiga text editor that might be able to open these documents without the errors?

I'm waiting to hear back from someone who can hopefully help out with Protext - which is freely available now but I have issues installing it :-(

Hey cha05e90 - I did find Protext from there - but when I run or try to  install it, it says insert protext thesaurus disk in any volume - but I'm not sure of the exact name the protext thesaurus disk should have so I can't mount it :-(

No problem now, I started a fresh - when running the Protext program from scratch, it seems it likes to be installed in Work:Protext - no matter what the assign in S:User-Startup. So I created a Work: volume, and copied the Protext drawer there and now all is working!
