My Amiga Experience Part 2
« on: July 25, 2004, 09:54:21 PM »
Hey all posted my thread in the wrong section earlier so here's an update, ordered a new scsi cdrom from ebay, and after a 2 hour gaming session on the amiga I'm interested in getting the old girl working again.

What I want to use my amiga for is just Ebay, Posting on A.org, using msn messenger (jabberwocky) and playing mp3 (probably using a mas player for no overhead)

I currently have a Blizz 1230 50mhz w/o FPU and 8mb, I'll probably up the memory to 32mb when I make the move to OS 3.9 (From 3.0) do you think this will be enough hardware power to do what I want?

Yeah I have a 4.1gb internal hard drive with about 25mb used right now, can't wait to get my cdrom and burn a load of stuff to cd and start making workbench my own environment, anyone recommend any upgrades/addons to make workbench a bit more pretty? As it is at the moment I don't even know how to change the screen resolution :-P

Hehe yeah, I think the squirrel actually works because it was searching the scsi bus before but I then realised I didn't have a termination at the end of the chain so that's probably why it wasn't responding, just stressed that the cd rom packed up the day I got my terminator in the post!
