A1200 PCMCIA Blocked by FastRam

Well I've just discovered that the PCMCIA card works with WB 3.0 if I hot plug it in after the A1200 has booted! No commands or editing needed.

well I would not recomend using it, as this is due to a bug in 3.0

parts of memorty MIGHT be overwritten by PCMCIA..

I had a dialogue with Analogic in the UK about conflicts with 3.0 and they didn't think there would be a problem. I'm only going to use the CF/PCMCIA card sporadically so I'm dubious if I need to add the aforementioned script. (Was what I thought I needed though)

Just hold and think about it... IF this wasn't an issue.. then why is this not possible in 3.1?  can it be they found a bug and..... fixed it?

chanses are small as the buffer might be small that you find that small part getting overwritten..  but it still is there.

I do NOT recomend you using PCMCIA with more than 5.5MB of fastmem even if it "works"
(except having fastmem outside the Z2 area..  ie on a acceleratorcard)
