Ave?
Wasn't that the phrase used to salutate Caesar?

What has greeting Caesar to do with your system?

with reguard to running warp os programs without issues

IIRC you have to use the ppclib.emu from Frank Wille (?) to avoid the trouble with PowerUp- and WarpOS-software respectively the switching between them.

also whould purchasing os 3.9 help as noticed it said it
has warpos 5.0 .

Hmmmm - on my OS 3.9 CD there was WarpOS v16.1 (at least Mediator config tellme it has this version).

Basically I think it's worth to have OS3.9 for a classic. It's been reported that it's possible to enhance OS3.5 to have the same look and functionality as OS3.9 - but having OS3.9 means a lot less of hassle and faster results, IMHO...

EDIT:
In case you'd like to have at least your nick spelled correctly - it's:

Achtung Babe
(Title of an U2 album)

Hey mate - don't get me wrong - but what's your native tongue?

I'm no native English speaker, but quite good as long as it doesn't come to dialects or slang.

So it's really hard for me to guess what you mean - you are writing in a rather "slangish style":

but where do l get these files from b4 l went got from

had setup files damm ..

Even after 5 minutes of guessing I have no clear idea what you're trying to say. I just realized that the sentence is not at its end at the "Full Stop" after "phase 5", as it normally is.
What I understood so far is:

You are looking for some files - which files are you looking for?

b4

b4 = before?

You went (where did you go to?) and got something (what?)from a company that took over the damn PPC support site with the setup files from P5?
Did I get that right so far?

thanks for the great help l will buy os 3.9

You're welcome!
Just do me one favour:
Please work on your writing style - it's relly hard to read/understand for an non-native English speaker - and after all this is an international forum here, so we all should give our best regarding writing style to make it not too hard for the non-native English speakers here...

yes l know ave read the same

Ah - and in New Zealand they really officially write "ave" instead of "I've"??

yeah easier said than done

Not sure what you mean here - what is easier said than done?

actung_bab wrote:

yeah but think u2 mispelted also

When I "translate" your sentence above, I read:
"Yeah - but (I) think you two mispelled also."

I just wanted to ask who the other one is you're talking to, when I got the idea that you possibly could have meant to write:

"Yeah - but (I) think you mispelled, too."

Now that's in an understandable form for me - but where do you think I misspelled?

also l assume u have a mediator and ppc card working

hows that work for u .

Yes - I have a Mediator with Voodoo4, 10/100mBit NIC, Terratec 512i digital and Spider2 USB2.0 highspeed working in my Amiga 4000 with CyberstormPPC (and CybervisionPPC)
and I have to say that I#m completely happy with it.

I really can't understand why some claim Mediator is crap - they certainly must have made mistakes during the setup!

ave finally got some spare money to update my setup. Going
to go for Cybergraphics4 and OS3.9 because alas I can't see OS4 being realeased if at all not for some time
 :-o

Cybegraphics4 is quite good together with my CybervisionPPC.

But you got to keep in mind:

You can't run Picasso96 (needed for Mediator and Voodoo) at the same time as Cybergfx.

As I have both graphic cards fitted, I have to have two boot partitions - one for the use with Picasso96 and Mediator, and the other for the use with Cybergfx and the CyberVisionPPC.

The latter I need e.g. when I want to boot into PPC-Linux, which does not support the Mediator/Voodoo combo.

The same is valid for MOS, AFAIK.
