If you want to increase the booting speed of your SCSI and have no devices attached to the IDE connector, you should disable the IDE:

There was something in the Cyberstorm's SCSI-settings where you could choose syncronous/asynchronous I/O mode.
I cannot remember which of the two options was the one that increased the speed of my HD oprerations dramatically - just try it out.
Either you'll notice an improvement (then your former setting was wrong - keep the new one) or an slowdown (then your former setting was correct - switch back to it).

I have both - my 160gB HD and my DVD-RW - attached to the UW-SCSI-Hostadaptor of my CyberstormPPC via ACARD UW->IDE adaptor and they work flawlessly *WITHOUT* any special settings in the CS's SCSI settings...
