LOL

I think it's funny that the same crowd that constantly blasts modern operating systems like Windows is singing praise for a 500 dollar telephone that perhaps has the most feature creep and software bloat the world has ever seen.

I just can't wait for my new iPhone. Girls will be impressed when I show them the smooth polished surface implanted with my face grease.

Hey, who is gonna be the first to suggest that people should write their apps in assembler on the iPhone?

How do you know it will feel bloated? Features do not equal bloat. Every seen a Blackberry? This should stomp the Blackberry. IMO this is much more than a phone.

In my oppinion WinXP doesn't feel bloated but people complain about it constantly. I'm sure the iPhone will be very responsive, if it wasn't it wouldn't sell. And it's going to be a lot more fun to develop applications for iPhone than say a trio. PalmOS is a pain in the butt to dev on.

Ive searched high and low for information about this iPhone and I still can't find out what processor it runs or if there is going to be third party developer support. There is no mention at all of this product on the ADC site.

The fact that the literature says this thing runs OSX means about as much to me as when they said that the G5 was a supercomputer. I can buy an iPaq which comes with "Windows" and ms Word, but this is just branding, it's not running "Windows" nor does it have "Word". Even acrobat reader is not the same in such context. It even comes with Internet Explorer, but what does it really have in common with the Internet Explorer we commonly know? It's branding.

For those of us in the market for a really fancy telephone this will probably be exciting regardless of the specs. For those of us interested in all the things this might be, other than being a telephone, we will probably be disappointed.

In any case, It's all hype until we get some real specifications.
