Hi Wayne,

I'm as you probably already know working on my own PHP website project MINDRELEASE.net and just completed my first login system. I know, it hasn't been implemented properly on my site yet as I'm still working on the content to be viewed once the user has logged in. However, the actual login module is pretty much finished and works like a charm. It's based on PHP sessions rather than cookies (much more secure, the authentication is on the server side) and will keep the user logged in until the user closes his/her browser or if the user's connection is inactive for more than 30 minutes. Once logged in, the scripts checks for the users authentication level which gives us the possibility to adopt the page content depending on wether the user has administrative rights or not and can even be given different kind of administrative rights (such as news editor, forum administrator, webmaster, etc.). I'm willing to share my code for this if you like, just send a mail to samface@mindrelease.net.
