1988, I was 14 and asked my dad to drive me downtown Montreal to get an A500 during a snowstorm (no need to tell he was not pleased that much)
Back home I plugged it and turned it on and *POOF*!! The damn thing blew up, there was a short circuit with the 12V of my C=2080 monitor connector. I begged my dad to go back to the store, we arrived about 15 mins before closing time and fortunately the clerk accepted to switch the A500 for another one!
