I have been playing this game on my CD32 (with SX32 & 8MB Fast RAM) all morning. It's a shame there was never an option for 1x1 pixel mode so Amigas with faster CPUs wouldn't need the screen dithered, and it plays tricks with the S-Video output, so I need to play it through Composite. The game itself is fun and very playable, if there's one thing I hate about some racing games it's sliding completely off the track around every corner but the karts in this game really cling to the road. The music and sound effects are nice, the presentation is alright.

As a kart racing simulation it's spot-on, but there's not really a lot of variety in the game, so it's the kind of thing you pick up and play for a few races every now and then. It's let down by having no 2-player option either, I would have loved to race against a friend over a null-modem cable to another Amiga.

Despite my criticisms I still like the game.

Have a look at Flyin' High too  http://hol.abime.net/586

The SX32 is an expansion for the CD32 that came out in the 90s, it lets you add 8MB FastRAM, an IDE drive, and has ports on the back for VGA, Parallel, Serial, Disk Drive and RGB. They're pretty rare and very expensive when they're for sale on eBay, which is why a bunch of us have been hoping for years to develop a new, cheaper expansion for the CD32.
