I have both the V1 and the V2 of these Kickstart switchers in an A500 and A600 and they're both excellent! And the A1200 I'm using right now has some EPROMs from the same site, working perfectly.
For an A500, I recommend you keep the 1.2 ROM and get a 3.1, and have them both on the Kickstart switcher. There's no need for 2.x if you can get 3.1 ROMs for the same price.
