I have installed Gloom Deluxe and the Akiko C2P file on my CD32 (with SX32). The Akiko routine is indeed much smoother than the default Black Magic one. I tried an 020 optimised routine which ran quiet smooth as well, although it seems the Akiko one still ran best. I also installed a slightly newer Akiko C2P routine from the Gloom 3 demo. I'm not sure yet which of the two Akiko C2P routines is faster (it would help a lot if there was a FPS display). Probably the newer one. My SX32 has 8MB RAM in it, which is probably helping speed things up too. Next I'll try burning it to a CD and running it on my stock CD32 to see how it goes.
I must admit, the original CD32 version runs smoother in full screen (3x3 pixel mode) than Gloom Deluxe does in 2x2 mode, and possibly even smoother than the 4x4 mode. And that had no Akiko enhancements.
