on the Media Center PC ...
« on: December 09, 2002, 04:14:35 PM »
David Coursey's story on the Media Center PC at AnchorDesk (zdnet.com) causes one to wonder what ever happened to Digital Convergence and all that DE-Home Networking stuff shown on some now obscure page at Amiga.com?!

Of interest is that Commodore was the first with the predecessor to this style of device, back in 1990 (12 years ago).

The CDTV (Commodore Dynamic Total Vision) was TOO expensive, it was ahead of the technology curve, and members of the public didn't understand what it was.

The software, as well, was generally of low quality. CDTVs are still in use today.
