Free A3000

A3000 needs good home for free.  Will pack and ship anywhere -- you prepay via UPS or similar.  Comes with 40M hard drive, keyboard, mouse, citizen color dot matrix, C compiler and assembler, Amiga Basic, crossDos, all OS documentation on headers, libraries, hardware (the big black books), lots of disks, excelence office software, games.

A3000 is still available.  UK is not off limits, you just have to pay for shipping (FedEx, Burlington, UPS, etc.).  I didn't expect a large response, and this is great.  There is only 1 machine, so we'll make a contest out of it.  Highest bidder is too easy and not very fun, unless you'll pay a million.

I will box it all and weigh it so you can figure out your cost.  You must set up the shipping.  I should simply have to contact or deliver the box(es) to your shipper (you give me the contact information, don't make me work), give the shipper your confirmation number or whatever, and that should be that.

Tell me about your talents: coding, art, just playing games, writing, etc..., so I can come up with the contest and rules.  I'll post details after I figure them out.

I just piled together the books/cables/sw/cleaned up the hd & floppies.  It works just fine, looks like the picture for the A3000 on e-bay starting at $9.95.  Got GFA basic, SAS C++, Cross Dos, Devpac assembler & all docs.  I'll box, weight, & get dimensions this week.  "Out of this World", "F-18 Intercepter", and "Pirates" play great.

So far, I've got reasons for a contest around music and coding.  Maybe I'll just assign everyone a number, and I'll roll the dice?

If you only responded privately, I deleted your message without thinking.  Please resend.

Ok, I am extremely busy.  If anyone wants to drive to Atlanta and meet me at the Varsity hot dog/hamburger greasy spoon on 75 next to Georgia Tech, I'll drop everything in your trunk.

Takers??

I even have an old 1200 baud AmigaTerm modem.  Talk about old..still works.

Yes, I still have it, and the locals are forcing me to give it to the Salvation Army because it takes up too much room.  If I don't give it away, it is going in the trash.  Someone must be able to get to Atlanta.  The Varsity is very visable...a famous place for Georgia Tech students to get their fill of grease (tastes damn good though).

Everyone should know that my A3000 has a new home, and with an Amiga lover.  It lives on.
