Booting/installing Debian Linux on Amiga 2000HD
« on: August 15, 2005, 04:48:30 PM »
I just purchased Debian GNU/Linux sarge CDROM's for
m68k from Abexia.  Since the CDROM drive is not a bootable
device, how do I get these CDROM's to boot.
I have my Amiga OS 3.1 installation diskettes but can't
find a copy of CDfilesystem.

Also, it's been a while since I worked/played with my
Amiga.  Thanks for any pointers, tips, reminders, etc.

I still have my manuals thru which I looked for hints.

Thanks!  That tells I just need to get the Amiga
running off its hard drive and have a new one onto
which to install.

Now all I need to do is to repair the boot drive, etc.

I have a G-Force 030 in the machine so I probably have
the CPU, FPU parts necessary.   :-D

I had two working hard drives: the original 50 MB drive on
the A2091 (sp?) card, and a 100 MB drive hanging off the
030 board.

I have a 1 GB external SCSI drive, too.   :hammer:
