NEC 3D monitor problem.

Hi all! I would like to post a photo of a problem I am currently experiencing with my NEC 3D monitor. It was working fine up until I pulled it out of storage and fired it up again (it was stored away for about a year).

Is there an easy way to upload image attachments to postings? One of the icons above looks like it might relate to what I would like to do but it is asking for a URL. I could not locate any assistance in the FAQs.

I suspect you are correct about needing a webhost for the image upload. Darn. You know what they say about a picture saying a thousand words. I have a nice photo that clearly illustrates the problem, but I will trying to describe it as best I can.

I am seeing vertical bands of yellow and white (roughly 1/2 inch wide) with finer horizontal bands underneath. I can see my workbench screen when my A3000 finally boots up but it is heavily washed out and the menu bar at the top is distorted in such a way that it appears flipped 180 degrees on it self.  Strange. I know my A3000 isn't the culprit because I have tested it on another monitor. The NEC3D supports CGA video also, so I was thinking about testing my C128 on it. This may not be necessary though because I disabled the A3000's flicker fixer and things didn't change much with the monitor.

I wish it were that simple. It appears to be some component level problem. Prior it being the way it is now, I do recall instances where the display would "shake" and making snapping noises. Sounds like the old "cold solder joint" problem that plagued the old Commodore monitors, doesn't it?
