The 2001FP supports 15KHz although with some manual centering needed. I do not think the 2007 model works at all in 15KHz though.

I was curious where the "buffered" description is coming from. I thought the Commodore adapter was NOT buffered. I do not even know what that means in this context to be honest, but I thought that is what separates this:

I'm going to get just a straight passthru 23pin to 15pin adapter here shortly and try that with the A1200 - and continue to pursue the buffered adapter's fix.

It makes sense. The Commodore adapter does have a chip inside. But I have used other adapters such as the one here:

I got a non-buffered version from the seller and it too displays vertical bars on my monitor.  

Maybe his "buffered" version does not have the Commodore clock line connected and could be free of bars? Not sure why I got the non-buffered one from him. Probably due to my confusion on buffered vs non-buffered.

The one I got from the Amibay seller, yes. The Commodore is a buffered adapter, apparently. I learned that just today.  

Makes me curious now. I might crack open my non-Commodore adapter to see if it really is chip free.

So yours is simply a passthru (no IC inside)?

If that's the case then I wont bother buying a passthru.... good to know jdryyz. I keep meaning to google the chip inside (74HCT08) the C< version. Think I'll do that right now... :lol:
