Re: Rys Mk II USB adapter problem

I picked up the Rys MKII about a year ago and found the mouse cursor movement too erratic. I could not get it to work smoothly no matter what adjustments I made. I was attracted to it for the support for wireless mice but I tried wired ones also. By comparison, the old Cocolino adapter I use with a PS/2 optical mouse is very smooth. I know that there are speed adjustments that can be made with the Rys but I may have not known this at the time.

So I put it aside and did not get back to it again until recently. Now I find I have a different problem-- no mouse cursor movement at all! Perhaps it is stuck in another mode? If it is supposed to automatically detect a mouse, I should not have to do anything.

I have contacted the maker but no word back yet.

I was successful at updating the firmware to the latest and the adapter does light up the laser on my wired optical mouse when plugged in so it is showing some signs of life at least.
