Color me surprised! My 2005 Sharp 37" TV supports 15KHz too!

I had a couple of those Commodore RGB - VGA adapters lying around (which weren't even intended for the A500, I believe) and I am seeing my native NTSC Workbench screen just fine!

PAL still not supported, however. Looks like I will still have to spring for one of those SCART to HDMI adapters.

Do these adapters respond to a change from an NTSC to PAL display mode automatically or do I have to push the switch??  

I love the SCART-to-HDMI converters myself and have 3 that I  use for getting HiRes to 1080p.

Mine do automatically, although one can make a manual selection of the couple of variables.

This might be more of a SCART question:

So, I have one of the Amiga RGB to SCART cables that includes the RCA left and right audio connections. I assume these get plugged into the Amiga's audio output since the SCART cable carries audio as well. What happens once the audio gets into this adapter? Is it going to do an analog to digital conversion and pass through the audio through the HDMI connection also or will I have to use the mini phono connector on the adapter to get my audio out?

It comes through the HDMI to audio output of the TV / monitor.  My cable came from Amigakit
