Have you tried reading cd versions of a ps2 game? and what about dvd movies? might be the laser that just is saying goodnight
This is what i hate about sony consoles... The lifespan of them is just horrible.. i had 3 ps1 that ended up having troubles reading discs and my ps2 is starting to have trouble reading the discs aswell. When i buy a console, then i expect it to live for years.. my a500 still works to this day.
