You are correct about the lower height of the HP Lisa chips, but you are not correct about Indivision AGA 1200 in general not fitting properly. This is only true for the very first production run. Starting from the second production run, the sockets have been modded in order to also hold properly on HP Lisa chips, and it's the third production run in the shops at the moment.
If you have trouble with your Indivision AGA, there's a 2-year warranty on it - this includes your mechanical problems. Please refer to your reseller, he'll handle all warranty issues.
