The Apollo voltage converters are all the same, so you can exchange them among cards with no problem.
The TIP32 circuit is in fact the Motorola application circuit. The 68060 takes a lot of current, and most regulators can't deliver that much with such a low drop voltage.
The circuit is *very* precise. Measure it in any state of operation, and the output is 3.30 volts (yes, THAT precise).
