Now that the rest of the pc world is going to SATA, we get ide for our amigas?
Why waste time and money, make a card for the newest tech.
This reminds me of the dead Voodoo cards.
Come on guys get into the 21st century!!!
And what are the main benefits for SATA vs PATA, when connected on the Zorro bus?
I think that if you really mean that last sentence about getting into the 21st century, then you should be getting an Amiga more suitable. And as we speak, the Sam is the only choice for new hardware - which, by the way does use SATA
But if you are really keen on getting modern hardware inserted to an old Amiga, you could use this card with a solid state disk, or one of those IDE flash modules. These disks are faster anyway due to the reduced seek time. These disks are cheap as well in the 4GB and 8GB versions, which should be sufficant for most older amigas.
