GVP COMBO 030@40MHZ
« on: April 30, 2006, 08:42:31 AM »
Hi guys,

Guess i have got another problemmo  :-?

My A2000 has got the REV6.3 and also 3.1 kickrom. When i use my GVP COMBO the machine works nicely with 0s3.9. But when i insert another card i can look in the EARLY STARTUP and it gives a DEFECTIVE status.

If i remove a 4mb simm from the GVP card leaving it just with 4mb onboard. Then i don't see a defective status and the picollo card works nice. After putting the simm back on the GVP i get the same problem.

When i look with SHOWCONFIG it does list both the picollo and the combo. Only the combo has got a 8MB MEM Addres whilst the picollo get's a 4MB MEM Adress but with no location.

Are there some registers/barriers or do i need to start looking for another 2000.

Any ideas???

Greetings
Henk

Hi JimS,

I have just read some post on the internet and hey say it is jumper 12 on the combo. I guess that is what you mean.

Thanks for the info.
