@darkhog I've not seen anything like that for Amiga. If you get the A1200 an easy option is the PCMCIA slot. Get a PCMCIA to compact flash adapter, a Compact Flash card, and a USB Compact Flash reader. It's not using the floppy drive but will give you an easy, compatible transfer method.

I know you want to try and stick to vanilla as much as possible but a Hard Disk will make the world of difference (CF card and a 44-pin IDE to CF adapter are cheap, low power and silent.
