Problem with Genesis software
« on: January 04, 2016, 11:24:01 PM »
While trying to solve my .LHA issue I decided that if I re-installed all the Boing Ball
add ons that might fix it.  It did not and the immediate affect of that was to wonk up
my AmiTCP stack with broke my Genesis.   Now I was using a wifi pcmcia card for my
internet and now it doesn't work.  So I had to go back to step 1 since I did not remember
how I set it up.  Okay, got my AmiTCP stack up and running, but when I try to load any
of the Genesis programs I get the error message "unable to open Genesis.library
3.0.  So I removed Genesis and went back to my OS3.9 disk and re-installed it from there.
Same error message, any ideas?
Also I too tried Road House and like Mike had nothing but problems with it and it cost.
Genesis worked great for 3 plus months... So I really want to go back to that.
Thanks
Brad Hansen

Thomas,  Now you are really confusing me.  I though AmiTCP had to run in order for
Genesis to launch?

Mike, thanks for all this good information.  Yes, I figured out that AmiTCP doesn't actually
run but is called by Genesis.  As soon as I removed the AmiTCP stuff from User-Startup
then Genesis started working again.  But somewhere in the install of something it ask me
for the information about my wireless network, name and password.  I haven't come across
that yet in my re-install.  I do have Run "wirelessmanager prism2.device in my user startup,
do I need to run it somewhere to get that information in?
Thanks for taking the time.
