it would be nice if someone can check if the PCMCIA card that comes with Panasonic KXL-810A works in PCMCIA slot, if not possibly try the other model. All is not lost if card is not compatible as it is a nice compact SCSI CD drive and should work. You can also use it as a stand alone CD player.

there is also another model which is CD/RW.

NOTE: both drive comes with a PCMCIA card but only one model has a switch on it to flick it between 16 & 32 bit.

also note CD/RW model can be powered in two ways via a normal power adaptor or direct from the PCMCIA card.
