iv been working on my own simms for some while and all my fastest simms has some kind of modification done on the card. but what i think is needed here is to remove the the simm socket alltogether and replace it with a PCB which has max and fastest dram ( 40ns or faster ) chips so that overclocking can be done.
the PCB should mounted as near as possilble to the simm soldering contacts via 72 pins to make it a drop-in replacement for the old simm socket. i think there is a market for this type of modifcation for A1200 accelerators,as it's not easy finding the right simm.
A1200 PSU
the same can be done to the A1200 motherboard, remove the RF filters and and maybe the RF video output and replace it with a PSU PCB 12v input. the PCB should also replace the old amiga PSU socket. NOTE: there are some extra hole already there on the A1200 motherboard which can be used to hold the PCB and provide power the motherboard.
if you are very good you can build your own PSU direct to the A1200 motherboard in this area.
