Yikes! :-o

To put it like it is, you're up for a very hard time if you cannot get a job soon...5500 NOK will not get you very far in the worlds most expensive city. (fact!)

I live in Grimstad, which is in the southern part of Grimstad, and would gladly have housed you, but:
1. I'll be moving to Arendal this week.
2. I have a girlfriend and a 10 month old son, so no spare-bed :-(

If you are determined to stay in Norway, I would rather try in some of the other large cities than Oslo, because Oslo is crowded with young people with high hopes for the future, but doesn't know how to get there. In Krisitiansand, Bergen, Trondheim as well as most other larger cities IMHO it will be much easier for you to get a job.

As for any advice to you, I cannot give any, I would have if I could...just hope you manage to pull all the strings necessary. I'll keep all my fingers crossed for you!

Oh! And btw:  Welcome to Norway!!!! Hope you'll enjoy it here, even if it looks dark for you right now..

Nah...I really don't know.

Guess we are all fed up where we are and imagine the grass being greener on the other side. Holland maybe? dunno..I'm fed up with the cost of everything here in Norway, but then again, we earn much more than most other countries in Europe..
