Yup. It was an A500. I upgraded from a C64. :=). I still got both, though neither works. I'm in the process of diagnosing the A500 to see if I'm able to fix it. I can't seem to find out what's wrong with the C64 (blank screen on boot), but I've got several working ones so it's not a big deal. I got several working A500s too
As for the date, it was in the spring of 1987. Great spring
I spent literally hours "talking" with my Amiga through the speech program, so I guess you could call that the first program I used. I didn't actually talk to it, but rather tried to teach it how speak norwegian properly.
I bought the *incredibly expensive* 512Kb memory module after buying Dungeon Master and not getting it to work. God I played that game to death. I still love getting into it :=)
