Conner Hard Drive Issue
« on: June 18, 2017, 07:53:09 AM »
A1200 - 4 Mb ram. My old Conner 40 Mb drive won't boot. It starts spinning but then stops - does this about 10 times then stops spinning altogether.

I'm looking to replace it with a 20 or 40 Gb IDE drive - any advice would be great.

A1200 with 4 Mb ram expansion.

I've recently moved and had a bit of nostalgia - the 1200 hasn't been switched on for about 10 years.

Hi Mike. I ended up getting a 4 Gb CF card. Installed easily and I am now up and running. Only downside was a few backup floppies were corrupt, so the install was a bit hit and miss. However, all running quickly - just have to configure the magic menu patch and we'll be back to 1995!
