I haven't looked at what exactly takes space but remember you
are looking at a distro, with a lot of goodies all ready configured for you just to start playing around with, som e games too.
If you relly want to do it all by yourself you can download
AROS nighlty with fits very nicely on a CD and start from "scratch".
PS. Or on a USB stick
