Some forums are just slow at time.   Happens sometimes to different forums.  I haven't seen anything interesting on a Linux forum I'm on for a couple months, latest distro went live a while back and everyone asked about changes but then pretty quiet.

I know i don't have much Amiga to talk about, I could post once a week saying I still haven't had time to pull my 2000 apart to try and fix it but that would get boring too.

That very much describes me in a nutshell.

Went from doing computers as a hobby, to having to deal with Windows, to aschewing Microsoft altogether, to basically using my Hackintosh as a video processor and storage device for the Apple TV.

Not much time or interest for Web sites or computers in general any more.

Thats kind of the path I went.  Getting home after fixing windows (servers) al days long I didn't want to mess with fixing windows at home.  I moved off of windows so now I have more time to mess with other things as I can actually use my computer(s) to do more than just applying updates/fixes.

This thread reminded me that it was about time I pulled it out, and tested to see if it was still working.... .....

It's getting old like everything else and has been sadly unused for 3 years........

I'm talking about my A2000, it's been in storage safely packed on shelving in the garage.

Pulled it out, plugged it in, turned it on, and :...... Whammo! Success.  Left it running for 3 hours plugged into the outside stereo playing mods thru eagle.  Memories.....

Turned her off, opened her up, checked everything, and then put her back away again in her bubble wrap cocoon.
One day I'll have a setup in the study that allows all my Amiga's to roam free in their natural habitat.

Couple 'o photos of the old girl attached.

but did you remove the battery?
