I use Cyberstorm mkII, mkIII PPC and A3640 here.
Other than being a bit slow and crusty, the A3640 (rev 3.1) are pretty good
cards.  I've never had any heating problems with them.

As for using Cyberstorm cards in A3000, there is a modification you need to do
to the motherboard for some of them.  This definately applies to the Cyberstorm
PPC, I'm not 100% sure about the mkII, but probably.

The A3000's CPU slot is missing a timing signal, so you need to cut a track and
solder a wire link in.  No big deal, there's details on the net of how to do it.
If you search, you can also find if this applies to the Cyberstorm mkII or not.
I've never used a Cyberstorm in an A3k myself.  Don't have my mkII manual handy
either I'm sorry.

I spoke too soon :)

The A3000's motherboard definately does need to be modified for the Cyberstorm
mkII.

Read all about it here:

I just noticed your wanted add on Amibench.

Just reading more on the A3000 motherboard modification as well, it possibly
only needs doing for the Cyberstorm mkII if you're using the SCSI module.

But if the motherboard needs the modification done, and if you get a new
motherboard which doesn't have the fix, chances are it will not work either.

Best bet is to try the CPU card in a working A4000 to test it.

The only motherboard jumpers that will effect the operation of the card is the
two clock source jumpers (right beside each other).  They both need to be set to
the INT position for the Cyberstorm mkII to work.
