I think you guys have a place called Radio Shack, would be a place to start.

Other than that, most professional electronics suppliers like Farnell and Radio Spares, who are worldwide.

If you can't find the exact size socket for the 68000, you can buy these "do it yourself" IC sockets which is basically a long continuous single plastic strip of pin sockets.  Just cut off a couple of 32 pin lengths, and you're in buisness.
Try and get the machine pin contacts as oposed to the original dual wipe style contact.

The DIY socket strip is usually machine pin anyway.

Don't try using a 2nd hand/used socket, more trouble and effort than it's worth.

The pin spacing should be standard 2.54mm, the same as most other DIP packages.
Not sure about the width, but it's wider than normal.
I'm sure you know how to work calipers or a ruler :-P
