After I read thru your ideas, I had to comment.
The A4000 Toaster does not just plug into the A2000. The video slot on the A2000 is to the right of the PSU. It would require cabling, and separating the Toaster cards. This should not be taken lightly.

I do have an A4000 with Toaster for sale, but, as you said, probably out of your $$ range.

A4000 desktop, converted to Power Tower includes:
NEW A4000 motherboard, 2 chip, 16 fast ram, new battery.
Spitfire SCSI card #1: Seagate 4.3 GIG, Yahama 4x4x16 CD-RW, NEC CDR 32x SCSI
Spitfire SCSI card #2: 1 gig 68pin with 68 to 50 pin adapter.

ATA-EIDE card: (2) WD 9.3 gig
A3640 ver 3.2 68040 x 30
Amiga ROMS 3.1 with Buster 11
Amiga DOS 3.5 cd
Sync Strainer module
DKB3128 with 128 megs RAM
EGS Spectrum Graphics Card
1084S and Mitsubishi Diamond Scan 17HX monitors included.

A4000 Toaster with new 4.3 Toaster software.
(Toaster was tested with original drive)
The 4.3 software is not-installed.
Full written ownership transfer will be conveyed for 4.3

Notice: original EIDE drives will be included, with original configuration.
Amiga DOS on the 1 gig drive. All other partitions are removed or un-configured.
