I bet that EULA entry is popular at corporations. Do we update the machines and make them secure but we give Microsoft the legal right to access our machines and data..., or do we leave the machines insecure, or do we look for an alternative?
I dunno, but I bet more than a few companies are looking at these EULAs with a fine toothpick and making future purchasing, training and upgrade decisions right now. And they probably don't include Microsoft any more.
Hmmm, future per-year licensing, high costs, insecure, and now Microsoft have access to all your corporate data stored on Windows machines? What sane person would agree to that?
