Unit is not a disk (type 7)
« on: January 29, 2017, 04:14:48 PM »
Hi all,

I'm having trouble with WINUAE and a 4gb CF. The cf is 4gb Kingston.

First I cleaned the cf with diskpart.

Then I added the cf as a harddrive in WINuae.

Started the tool HDToolBox and chose define new one.

Then I click on read configuration but I am getting the error: Unit is not a disk (type 7).

I've read somewhere that you have to install a patch named HDToolBoxPatch?

For installing that patch you'll also need a tool called GPatch.

I have totally no clue on how to install these patches

Would really appreciate some help here.

Is there an easier way to do this?

I used an older version of WINuae and now the CF card is regonized so I can now partition the cf card and format it under WB.

I would like to prepare my 4gb CF for WHDLoad on my A500+ with the new ACA500plus, and used WB LIte.

Do some of you have any experience with this in combination with the new ACA500plus?
