Unless you're looking specifically for that, wouldn't one of the 060 adapters that are being built now give you better performance? Of course if you're not looking for it for the performance but to have that specific device ignore what I just said :)

I've never even seen one in the wild. Did they ever even ship?

They definitely shipped. I've got a few.

I guess I ought to clarify that the ones I have are not for sale. I appreciate the interest that some have expressed but I'm not selling anything right now.

off topic

however. you do have one.  as I am working on a xcalibur-similiar addon to the 3640/3660.   can you please send me a showconfig printout from the xcalibur?

I can but it will not be for a while since I am not at home while my wife is in the hospital and several months of rehab. I'll put it on my task list for when I get there.

Further clarification - all of the queries about selling have been very polite and such. I'm just trying to save people the time of writing and asking.

How fast is memory access on those ? comparable to CS MKIII ?

As I recall, a good bit slower. Partly because this is an 040 and partly because the speed of the SIMMs isn't as high. I've got 50ns or 60ns in the Cyberstorms and 70ns or 80ns in the X-Calbur. I don't know how the performance of the two memory controllers are so don't know how much it effects memory transfers.
