This will only be as fast as the IDE port = not any faster than a CF to IDE
Don't care about trim; but I really think the same. How much faster is the SSD compared with a good CF or even a DOM?. Probably not that much and is bulkier than a DOM...
Anyhow, it's cheaper than a big CF so it's still a great setup if you want GBs.
