That's a really good documentation, thanks in the name of the whole community.
I've also replaced all batteries from all of my computers -- also owning a couple of old x86 having the same problem.
I've always used cables to get some distance between the board and the new battery and put the battery into a sealed bag, so they won't damage the board if they leak again in a few years.
