     Hmm, I'm no expert, maybe someone else will have better news, but it sounds like the board or the CPU on the board may be bad..  

     Check to make sure all of the socketed chips on the board are seated well, try cleaning the connectors on the mainboard with cotton swabs and alcohol and try it again, but if it's still doing the same thing, something is probably out.
