300Gig SCSCI Hard drive Install Question - A2000

Dear Amiga Colleagues

I am in the process of adding a new SCSI HD to my A2000 and thought this would be an easy process. I purchased a new SCSI 300Gig drive and  assumed I could prep/format this drive with the HDToolbox. However, I am not sure how to prep the config file for such a drive (assuming I can even use such capacity). Any ideas how I can get this drive to work?

OK, I will attempt to update the OS to 3.9 but have some basic NewBie HD questions:

I have the latest 3.9 CD but do not have enough space of my BOOT drive  - DH0: - to install 3.9 OS . I do have 2 other SCSI drives (DH1, DH2) in my A2000 that I can use but not sure how to make them Active after I install the OS? Is is just a question of installing the 3.9 on one of these drives and than using the the Amiga Early Startup Control Screen  to select new "Boot Options"? ( rebooting your Amiga while holding down both mouse buttons.)?

Not sure of the actual workflow for getting one of these drives to work as a new BOOT drive.

to be clear...just install the OS 3.9 on a new partition ...say DH1: than make DH1:  the new Boot  partition from HDtoolbox ...no other sequence modification needed?

OK...I have 3.9 loaded but my screen resolution and graphics are messed up. Most of my dir/folders are "off screen" and the graphics seem to be B&W only. How do I fix this issue?

I was using the CyberGraphx API Driver under my old OS but I am not married to it. I was told I should use P96 with my Picasso II card under OS3.9? Is this just a question of downloading the driver and installing it or can this be configured with Amiga OS's?

BTW: I can only download the Picasso96 driver to my Mac or PC but have no idea how to transfer that to my Amiga Floppy. My DVD reader on the Amiga is not setup because I also need the drivers for that ?

understood ....but the problem is always back to my boot-up screen reso issue which is now under OS3.9. I am having  hard time seeing/navigating to the appropriate screen or folders to try and fix this issue. Hence, why I am trying to install Picasso96... but of course I can't do that unless I fix optical drive so that I can read the file that I downloaded ...feels like I am going around in circle...

No, I am booting from DH1: with OS3.9.
I will try deleting the screenmode.prefs to see if this fixes the problem.
